Our Story

From the aircraft cabin to the Kasurysh kitchen

Kasurysh was founded by Puan Suryane Saidin. Her career began as a hotel restaurant server in Kuala Lumpur, before she joined the national airline and served 13 years as a Customer Service Officer.

Frequent travel opened her eyes — finding authentic halal food abroad was never easy. She also often saw passengers wanting to bring home traditional food such as sambal, only to be held back by safety and shelf-life concerns.

That sparked the idea of producing food using retort techniques and suitable packaging, so Malaysians abroad or on the move could enjoy traditional dishes that taste just like home.

“I want every pack of Kasurysh to bring the taste of home to anyone, no matter how far away they are.”
— Puan Suryane Saidin
